San Miguel de Allende
Night to Day
Light Around Town: “…and it must follow, as night follows day….”
San Miguel de Allende is a colonial-era city founded in 1542 and located in the Mexican central highlands. I went there to explore “a sense of place” and found that the changing light at 6,234 feet defines the place.
San Miguel has maintained its Mexican and Spanish roots and traditions but evolved into an international community. These changes can be experienced throughout the day as the light focuses on different aspects of the community.
